I led the local authority contribution to a CQC review of the Health and Social Care system in 2018, working intensively with partners to jointly compile information and engage actively in the review. The review identified that `Reading residents receive good quality, person-centred health and Social Care when they need it, from compassionate, dedicated staff.' * Excellent analytical skills and I can evaluate options, innovate and identify solutions. Having analysed the outcomes, costs and best practice in relation to the bed- based discharge to assess service, I identified significant benefits in customer service and cost effectiveness which could be gained through a re-provision of the service. I led on the restructure of the service, reducing it from 14 to 4 beds to reflect the demand that I had identified and to reflect the Home First agenda. The service moved to an environment which provided much better opportunities to achieve reablement goals and delivered savings of circa £ 1million. * Extensive up to date professional knowledge of Adult Social Care and Health service provisions, including an applied knowledge of Social Care legislation, experience of advising others and chairing a decision-making group. I have experience of high risk, multi-faceted situations and the ability to advise others how to identify resources and collaborate with other organisations taking a strengths-based approach, following safeguarding procedures and making safeguarding personal. * In-depth knowledge of community and acute health services gained over the last 4 years of strategic partnership working. I understand the interdependence of these service provisions at all levels from the promotion of health and wellbeing and healthy communities, community health and Social Care provision, acute health Care, and the role of other fields such as public health and the voluntary sector.
