After graduating from my Masters in International Business with Tourism at Heriot-Watt University I undertook the role of Graduate Manager with Amaris Hospitality, being placed in the DoubleTree Edinburgh Airport. The Hotel began a full renovation in September 2019 providing multiple challenges to be able to improve my customer service skills; keep all guests happy and maintain Hiltons 4-star standards despite the hotel being a partial construction site. I was chosen to be kept as a member of the core team in a hotel for the duration of Covid19 open for key workers. This taught me to be extremely adaptable in all circumstances, working 18 weeks on nightshift, taking on the roles of housekeepers, receptionists, pool attendants and chefs to work long shifts to maintain the smooth running of the hotel on a limited team. I am a responsible and driven individual, who strives to complete any goals set by myself or others with a proven track record shown by winning sprinting titles; and reaching sales targets at 56 North, The Three Sisters and Doubletree Edinburgh Airport. As a capable, confident, customer-orientated individual, I can manage time to a high standard; through my studies, the workplace and competing in Sprinting, as a part time hobby. I benefit from having a solid academic foundation as well as practical experience within a workplace and embody enthusiasm for future career opportunities.
