Personal Profile &Hobbies

I have a full clean UK driving license and I’m also a fully qualified First Aider.

I have experience in both care work and retail. This has given me the opportunity to develop my abilities and gain excellent communication and customer service skills. I work well as part of a team which I do as part of my current job role. I am currently employed by the Brothers of Charity where I have worked in many different homes dealing with various conditions such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Schizophrenia, Downs syndrome and much more. I am also very experienced in handling difficult situations and I can perform well under pressure.

I play snooker for St Teresa’s social club where I am part of the team in the St Helens Wednesday & Thursday leagues. I also played football where I was the captain of Alder Ladies football team. I enjoy socializing with my friends and I like to take part in other sports such as table tennis, cycling and running. I also enjoy visiting the countryside and climbing mountains such as Snowdon, Helvellyn and Ben Nevis.

Job Title: Support/Care Worker

Duties: I work in a 20 bed nursing home with a range of service users, each with their own individual needs. I have experienced a wide variety of different challenging situations and behaviour to which I have always ensured that I handled with true professionalism, complying with company policies. I am required to administer medication as well as control money for the household. I take clients to doctor’s appointments, the bank or for sociable activities and the hospital whenever required. Experienced working 12 hour shifts.

Duties: Assisting with patient’s daily routines, providing care including administrating medication, personal care, household chores, preparing meals and helping patients with mobility problems and other physical disabilities.
