Profile

I am a hardworking individual, committed. I have many years experience in the building trade as a labourer. I am very motivated to learn new skills and I feel the experience I have gained through being a builders labourer has given me the confidence to reach my goal of learning new skills. I have a clean, full UK driving licence, also a class 2 hgv licence holder. I am also looking to do my ADR License but havent got the funding at the moment . I am a very fast learner, but will also ask for help if I’m stuck.  I love spending quality time with my partner and sons.

Work Experience,

I am currently unemployed but seeking full time employment

My most recent professional job was a HGV class 2 driver, working at ####### Environmental Waste Service, my role was driving tankers ranging from 7.5t to 8 wheeled 32t, have experience driving gully tankers and jetting equipment, and also have experience driving 32t tankers transporting clean water and waste to welsh water sites. Would attend blockages at households where we would use rods to try and unblock the drains. If the block was quite severe we would use a high pressure jetter to clear away any obstruction and clean the pipework I’ve also achieved high risk confined space certificate, high pressure water jetting card, CSCS labourer card and completed a course in water hydrant safety use, as we needed this course to know which hydrants we could use, and to fill up our lorries with clean water ready to clean gullys and drains.

Prior to working in ####### environmental waste service, I was a self Employed handyman. I have learned many things through my self employment. I’m good with customers as the majority of the time I would be working in people’s homes and I feel you need to be able to build a good relationship with people straight away as they are trusting you in their property.  I have also done work on chimneys and roofs so I am good with heights.  I have frequently helped with drainage and installing manholes, and i have also installed some duo-fuel chimneys up to Hetas specifications.  

In 2009 I started training in the British Army.  Unfortunately I was discharged through injury, but my short time in the Army was very rewarding.  I have made some lifelong friendships through training. Being in the Army taught me to work at the best of my ability on every task, and to help others when they need help.

I have also worked with timber framed static homes, Where my job entailed assisting with first and second fix. Cladding the exterior of the home and assisting with roofing and guttering. During my time in this employment i have learned many skills such as

My first job was immediately after leaving school in 2005 straight into the building industry as a labourer. I spent many years in this industry and enjoyed every minute of it. I have always had an interest in the building industry, always been very fascinated by how the most complex structures are held together, and the work that goes into it all.
