    for one of the equity partners, I later assisted in other areas of the firm (Family and child law, Conveyancing and Dispute Resolution) in a Paralegal capacity and throughout COVID-19 I assumed an Office Management role alongside my usual duties. My main responsibilities included: ------- * assisting the Fee earner in progressing Road Traffic Accident cases for the Plaintiff, including, taking client instructions, liaising with the other side and their legal representatives, gathering evidence, presenting cases to Counsel in a clear and logically formatted brief; * assisting Fee Earners in progressing Medical Negligence cases from start to finish, for the Claimant, including taking instructions and liaising with the client, the other side and any relevant health practices and trusts, drafting court documents, lodging with court within any relevant time limits; * assisting the second equity Partner, in large property acquisitions and demolition disputes, including drafting emails, organising diary, carrying out land web searches, special searches and assisting with completion of residential property sales, Holding ownership of Deed requests and responsibility of keeping them accounted for; and * assisting two Fee Earners in progressing family and children cases through to outcome, including taking client instructions, liaising with the other side and court, assisting with sight link hearings, drafting legal documents, such as court forms (e.g. petition, request for Orders and acknowledgement), official letters and correspondence. * I have been required to draft legal documents for fee earners in all areas worked such as, but not limited to, Statements of Claim, Writs, Replies, Petitions and Official Court documents. I have also assisted in drafting responses to official letters, emails, setting up Forms of Authority and applying for and progressing Legal Aid applications.

    The sole paralegal of an in-house legal team in a global talent acquisition and management solutions company. I learnt the role a barrister plays in legal proceedings and how this differs and interacts with that of a solicitor. 22nd October 2012 , Mr Justice McCloskey, The Royal Courts of Justice, Shadowing a grand chamber judge. I sat in chambers before court sessions, Mr McCloskey highlighted the current developments in the legal system. Which we then witnessed when sitting in court sessions for the rest of the day.

I attended the Magistrates and crown court providing me with practical knowledge of the legal system in England. UNHCR Pro bono - This project required me to work with the Commission for Refugees. Reviewing a large volume of refugee case law, and identify if judgements fit the current guidelines set by national and international law.
