Business Sales Trainee
2020 -
Present
Business Sales Trainee (Full Time)
Peninsula Business Services -
My role as a business sales trainee at Peninsula meant I was working B2B ( business to business) on outbound dialling and communicating with different business owners, directors and managers all over the country on a daily basis. In a fast paste environment, surrounded by money motivated individuals it was important to set realistic goals for myself and work very hard on achieving them.
shop manager
2018 -
2020
a small business meant that I was the forefront of customer service for the shop.
-------
My day to day activities included; ensuring customers had a pleasant experience at the shop, keeping a tidy work environment, keeping on top of charts, taking deliveries and cashing up the till at the end of the day.
This role helped me better my communications with many people from different backgrounds and different age groups as every customer who came in was different from the last.
I learned developed key skills such as: problem solving and being resilient in this sector as some people could be quite difficult which meant I had to learn how to diffuse situations and ensure each customer left feeling cared and valued.
This role helped me improve my confidence as day to day I would deal with different people. It allowed me to be friendly to each person but also know when to stand my ground.
Outbound Telesales Advisor
2018 -
2018
I was able to grow my skill set in the short space I was there for. Being in a fast paced environment with no hand holding quickly shaped me into becoming more independent and had me hungry to reach my targets. As the job required cold calling, I had to practice patience and empathy to deal with customers who were weary of my calls and also had to learn to gain strangers trusts over the phone within just a few minutes. Working as part of the Intelling team I was able to experience different campaigns within the company. Whilst my training was catered directly for sales at o2, I was also assigned onto TicketMaster customer service when a GDPR scandal occurred. This allowed me to prove how seamlessly I could adapt to change and how efficient I was in learning and taking on something new when problems occur.
Store Manager

Customer Service Advisor
2017 -
2019
At my time with The Blissful Boutique, a women's fashion online brand. My role and duties were to attend to customer enquiries via email, website's web chat and handle the companies Instagram account by scheduling posts three times a day.
-------
My day to day activities included giving information and solving customer problems. Whilst doing this I had to also prepare the relevant orders and get them ready for shipment, process complaints where appropriate and issue refunds whenneeded.
My overall duties where to ensure I was friendly, understanding to the customer with my focus being on ensuring the customer had a positive experience with the business.
As this was a fast paste environment, I quickly developed better time management to ensure I could meet all deadlines, this taught me the discipline of being more organised.
Radio Presenter
2015 -
2018
I was given the platform to host a show at my community radio. With this station having a niche audience I had to learn what would appeal to the listeners and entertain them to a point where they would engage with the show via social media and call ins. My time at this radio station improved my communication skills as a presenter and enabled me to be a free thinker and also learn how to improvise on days where guests would let you down and not show up at the last minute. I believe this helped build up all necessary my characteristics for all roles I would apply for later in life

The BBC Journalism Talent Pool is a hub of young aspiring journalists that the BBC invest time and resources on. They welcome onto their hub a select few of junior journalists based on their individual skills and what they had to offer the organisation. Luckily, I was one of the few. My time at the Pool I was privileged to be given opportunities that were stepping stones to become the person I am today. I was able to work on my confidence a lot, pitch story and documentary ideas to seniors at the BBC and also work on programs like: Rip Off Britain as a runner, finding contributors for the show at really
public spaces which made me step out of my comfort zone. I was also given the opportunity to work on Sister Rita, shadowthe camera crew and show runners, during this time I was exposed to a lot of shocking and emotional stories from some of the contributors and able to experience a community life and how people lived in different areas of Manchester.

Kiosk Team Leader ( Match Days)
Manchester United Football Club
-------
My role as a match day team leader at Manchester United was mainly centered around being trusted, resected and a person of accountability. I was accountable for myself and five other kiosk team members. My duties as a team leader would include: making sure my team understood what was expected for them, overseeing the kiosk and money management at the end of each shift and most importantly, being able to step in at any given time if anything got too overwhelming for anyone on my team. In this role, I learned the importance of remaining calm at any given situation.
Catering to energetic football fans and also training new members onto the kiosk tills and making them comfortable in their environment taught me how to multitask. In this leadership role, I really enjoyed strengthening my skills. I saw first hand the importance of time management.
