    Employment History

    Procurement Specialist

    2018 - Present

I began contracting for Baker Hughes in December 2018 assisting another Buyer with the Fabrication commodity. In January 2019 I moved into my current role of managing the Schematics commodity. Since May 2019, I have been a permanent employee. With no experience in Schematics it has been a real challenge for me. However, it has been extremely rewarding to learn something new from the beginning. My current duties and achievements include: ------- * Sourcing of all hydraulic parts for various projects - recently featured in an article on the Baker Hughes Intranet for going above and beyond during lockdown to ensure that there were no delays to a significant project. * Expediting - received a #Bravo award for achievement of sourcing all required Schematics for two Shell projects in a very short lead-time. Attention to detail and helping to achieve the goal of on-time delivery were all cited as reasons for the award. * Note of thanks - a mention in an intranet article for going above and beyond what is expected during COVID-19 for a Serica project. * Helping colleagues where required by offering advice and information where required on their own commodities. * Resolving invoice holds and queries in a timely manner. * Actioning and questioning status reports received on a weekly basis from the suppliers. * Submitted a project to help ensure that the process for booking in Schematic kits goes more smoothly and saves the business time and money by breaking down the booking in process. * Meeting with two main suppliers on a monthly basis to discuss any issues and also improve upon processes in progress. * Creating and maintaining a detailed pricing matrix spreadsheet for 2020 in order to make the RFQ process more lean, to achieve more savings for the business. Halliburton, Arbroath

    Procurement Specialist

    2014 - 2018

During my time at Halliburton, I dealt with Procurement and Contracts. It was an extremely varied role and challenged me in a great way. I was the only member of the department who was cross trained in all required Procurement roles. Some of my duties and achievements included: ------- * Contract Management - Creating Master Purchase/Service Agreements using templates within the Halliburton Contract Management (HCM) system, currently managing in excess of $150 million worth of contracts. To date, I have successfully helped to negotiate in excess of over two hundred and fifty contracts, some of which had been abandoned previously due to the commitment required to follow through. The longest one was eventually signed after a year and a half of negotiation, I do not give up easily. I also helped provide training on contracts and how to use the system to two other Procurement Specialists. * Cost Savings - Where achievable, introducing cost savings by use of a Master Purchase Agreement. * Standard Costs - One of our main tasks in the Procurement Department was keeping costs within a standard cost variance and exploring all options of purchase prior to the placement of orders to try and achieve a positive costing which reflected well on the Procurement Department over the course of the year. * Documentation Review - Reviewing and negotiating supplier amendments to commercial clauses within the contract. * Sending out Non-Disclosure Agreements for signature to suppliers whom Halliburton share Intellectual Property with. Achievements * Took charge of managing the Approved Vendor List for a total of three different facilities, (one in Scotland and two in Norway) keeping all information accurate and up to date. The AVL's were inaccurate and very bare prior to my appointment in this role. I was frequently advised that I managed all three AVL's extremely well, with information now easy to find and accurate. * Helped to ma

    Achievements

Took charge of managing the Approved Vendor List for a total of three different facilities, (one in Scotland and two in Norway) keeping all information accurate and up to date.  The AVL’s were inaccurate and very bare prior to my appointment in this role.  I was frequently advised that I managed all three AVL’s extremely well, with information now easy to find and accurate.

Helped to manage two integration projects from beginning to end (from the initial emails advising the vendors of the integration, requesting all required information for addition to SAP, requesting quotes and finally order placement).  My Supervisor consistently praised me throughout for making the transitions as smooth and as painless as possible for both the vendors and Halliburton and commented that she could not have asked anyone else in the department to handle it better than I did.

Vendor Evaluation System – issuing scorecards, evaluation records and ensuring corrective actions are carried out in a timely manner by vendors who fall short of expectations.  When I took over the role, there were huge improvements in the quality of the evaluations themselves and also of the history to compare results, which was not a priority previously.

Several Audits Passed – Introduced a numbers-based system of RFQ within the first month of my appointment, which the whole department adopted, for easier navigation of files for audits.  My Supervisor commented that my input was instrumental to making the
department run as smoothly as possible during her maternity leave.  Several audits were passed because of input only I could offer during this time.
