* My main task starting with Claymore was to create and set up a new Health and Safety department and health and safety management system from scratch as there was no pervious department a 3rd party company was used.
* Implementing new and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talk forms Processes, Procedures, plant inspections etc. and ensuring these are kept up to date. Month I have Creating the HSE Policy, Environmental Policy and will ensure these are kept up to date and being adhered to at all times. Yearly Audits of the health and safety management system. Reviewing all the risk assessments form the subcontractors and third party contractors prior to them starting on our sites.
* Creating the Pre-Construction documents as well as the health and safety plan, environmental plan and fire plan for all new sites.
* Created new training matrix and ensure all training is up to date and the matrix is kept up to date also.
* Managing all yearly fire drills at the head office and logging them with the relevant information. Also ensuring the Site Managers are doing the fire drills and logging them on each site.
* Monthly Site Safety Audits which are recorded and uploaded to the system every month. The finding of these reports help with producing KPI's for training etc. This information will also be discussed at monthly health and safety managers meetings. During these audits on site I will be communicating with all operatives and subcontractors with any issues I fine or any improvements ideas they have on how we can better improve things.
