Working in the cafe has allowed me to brush up on previous skills and develop new ones.
I worked with a team of fifteen members
Instructed staff on day to day tasks
Prepared food to the Health and safety food standard protocol
Checked temperatures of fridges and freezers ensuring they stayed within the safety band and reporting any issues to management
I was a till operator which entailed excellent customer service, fast time management and giving directions to my fellow team members
I also worked the deli counter making sandwiches as well as hot food such as baked potatoes quiche and soups
I also made hot drinks which improved my barista skills
As a senior sales assistant I was also responsible for signing off the till, counting out the takings, leaving a float and ensuring the money was safely delivered to the office for banking.
I was also responsible for stock replenishment, going through the cafe and checking dates and bringing new stock down from the stockroom
Throughout my time in the cafe I have developed so much. I have improved my time management my professionalism and my independence.
