Subsea Riser Products (SRP) was formed by the Acteon Group in 2008 as a spin-off from 2H Offshore, and with the acquisition of PED, a design consultancy company. SRP is now a hub of innovation in the Acteon Group, providing product development services and turnkey equipment supply for the offshore and subsea energy industries.



SRP are currently looking to engage with a knowledgeable & diligent Electronics Hardware Design Engineer on a contract basis. The Electronics Hardware Design Engineer will assist with the completion, troubleshooting and delivery of a new remote control subsea product.



We are open to a range of experience levels, however we require that you plug straight into the project team and be productive. Experience of subsea or offshore oil and gas experience is not necessary.



Skills

  • Prototyping with breadboards / protoboards
  • Detailed microcontroller logic, PCB layouts, and battery powered circuit design
  • Low power embedded systems

Acteon comprises 1900 employees in 60+ locations worldwide. Sage People was implemented in 2019-2020 as the central HR Information System (HRIS). It has been adopted by all Acteon companies globally and replaced existing systems which were in various states of maturity.



Acteon are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic & efficient HR Systems Manager on a permanent, part time basis(ideally 2/3 days per week). The successful candidate will be critical to the success of the HRIS adoption. The post holder will effectively "own" the system and be responsible for maintaining and enhancing it to ensure all business and reporting requirements are met.



The HR Systems Manager will work with team members, managers, employees and relevant external vendors to create efficiencies and optimise business processes and provide a user-friendly experience to the 1900+end users of the HRIS. The postholder will be the "go to" person for all technical HRIS queries and will therefore need to ensure rigorous change management processes are in place be able to re-configure the system to meet business needs and respond to internal and external stakeholder requests.



The role may have the opportunity to work on broader Group system developments and implementations as the organization embarks on a change journey in many areas.



There is flexibility for a home based role with a requirement to travel as and when needed to our Operations Centre in central London The post holder must be able and willing to travel within the UK and to our international subsidiaries if required.



Duties:

  • Applies best practices for using Sage People, creates workflow efficiencies and provides a user-friendly experience for employees, management and other system administrators
  • Configures, maintains and enhances the system set up and business processes to achieve desired outcomes
  • Manages system maintenance and updates, including the release of upgrades
  • Initiates set-up and launch of recurring and unique tasks within the HRIS
  • Supports the integration process of Sage People with other existing systems
  • Creates and maintains relevant links to other new systems within the group
  • Provides counsel to the group-wide HR community and end users as the HRIS subject matter expert; creates and delivers training and development materials where required
  • Maintains data integrity, confidentiality and system security at all times
  • Provides desktop support to managers and employees as required
  • Develops, enhances and implements new solutions for optimising processes by demonstrating a clear understanding of the latest technologies, determines which of those solutions would be of benefit to HR and then applies them
  • Design, develop, test and implements technical people-based solutions across the business
  • Builds and maintains an effective working relationship within internal IT dept
  • Maintains strong relationship with service provider and challenges ability to self-perform where possible
  • Manages the design and build of reports and dashboards to specific company and senior leadership team requirements
  • Works with communications and the HR business partners to effectively create communications as required for engagement of employees on relevant updates and launches
  • Challenges associated costs and budgets accordingly to ensure system is cost effective
  • Continually looks for ways that the system can enable business improvements and efficiencies
  • Troubleshoots HRIS issues and makes necessary amendments to both the HRIS and Salesforce to ensure maximum availability of the system



Required:

  • Experience of working with Sage People/Fairsail (preferred) or a similar HRIS system is a minimum requirement
  • Proven system configuration experience
  • Understands HR processes, demonstrates an aptitude for continuous learning and has the ability to train others
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Understands complex information and requirements and is able to communicate the key facts in straightforward way
  • Demonstrable success in a similar position within a multi-office environment, ideally across multiple countries
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Microsoft Excel Superuser
  • Experience delivering system implementations utilising global templates
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to create strong relationships within the business
  • Must have a proven track record in HR data analytics and a passion for ensuring data excellence

LDD, part of Acteon Group, is a marine and subsea foundation specialist. Using our extensive in-field experience, we design, engineer, build and operate world class pile-installation, lifting equipment and drilling equipment to deliver tubular foundations of any size, in any geology, anywhere.

LDD are currently looking to hire a driven & ambitious Sales Engineer to join the team in Camborne, Cornwall. This is a full time, permanent role. The successful candidate will be responsible for business development and sales growth of foundation drilling and marine construction services on a worldwide basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new opportunities, securing contracts and building new relationships are of prime importance to LDD. In time you will develop strong relationship management skills, as well as technical and commercial acumen.

The Sales Engineer will support the continued growth of LDD, primarily through organic growth in markets we are already present in, but also by introducing new LDD products, and driving sales of our products & services in new markets.

Duties
To drive the sales pipeline in the market segments in order to generate revenue in line with agreed annual revenue targets. Identification, investigation and development of opportunities in the market segments.

  • Generate new leads and client contacts.
  • Form and build on long term relationships with all key buying influences within customer organisations.
  • Ensure that through relationships, on-going business is maintained and new opportunities are seized.
  • Increasing the breadth and depth of relationships and using these to generate new business in otherwise un-penetrated departments/divisions or other client group companies.
  • Meet face to face with the customer on a regular basis to maintain and foster the relationship, ensure any customer satisfaction issues are picked up and dealt with, in both a timely fashion and to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain (on-going) a Sales Plan. This should give any reader a good instant overview of the market segments, customers, the key relationships, what the strategy to maintain and increase business is, what projects are in the pipeline and what the next actions are in any sales situation.
  • Responsible for the development and positioning of the LDD brand to LDD's global audience by actively contributing to website and marketing activities.
  • Actively drive the sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Coordinate input from other company staff to accomplish the work required to close and deliver sales and provide the accounts department with all relevant invoicing details, contacts and necessary assistance to collect outstanding invoices.
  • Prequalification & Tender preparation and submission in accordance with company tendering procedures
  • Management of existing and new key client accounts
  • Contract negotiation, in conjunction with the Commercial Manager
  • Development of initial project plans for handover to LDD operations department and provision of support to operations department with client liaison and information as may be required to completion of project and final account closure.


Required

  • A self-motivated individual with excellent communication and relationship skills, happy to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction in large accounts.
  • Proven track record of success in a sales environment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience within the marine field is desirable as is previous experience of project work.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others and put LDD across in the best light.
  • Ability to estimate and write proposals would be an advantage.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and soft skills.
  • A good understanding of the mechanical/civil engineering industries and the oil and gas segments that LDD sells into, along with in-depth knowledge of the sector the customers work in.
  • Consistently display, energy, commitment and a desire to ensure that their customers are happy and receive a first rate service to ensure LDD is the "supplier of choice" for the available LDD products and services.
