Main Responsibilities

  • Co-ordination of land reports from area offices
  • Co-ordination and compilation of weekly, monthly and yearly COINS reporting for Group Sales together with the Group Sales Administration Manager
  • Customer and competitor analysis - engage in problem solving exercises
  • Liaise with Finance and COINS teams on behalf of sales
  • Attend site visits on behalf of and with the Group Sales Director to carry out sales audits as required
  • Co-ordinate analysis of mystery shops and customer surveys

Summary

Gleeson Homes are now recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to produce, manage and forecast build costs for allotted sites.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your role will be to procure all necessary subcontract trades whilst managing the payment process and subsequent contractual obligations.

Please note: This role will initially be based in Sheffield with a view to moving to a new West Yorkshire office in the future.

  • Production of site start budgets, prior to commencement of Superstructure House build.
  • Procure all subcontract trades involving other key members of the team ensuring best value is obtained and all subcontractor prequalification criteria has been supplied.
  • Manage the payment process for subcontractors and help the other members of the payments team to ensure payments are made in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
  • Evaluate and if appropriate, approve payments of dayworks and applications for both labour only subcontractors.

  • Attendance at management team and department meetings at various locations which may be outside of the usual workplace.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the development and delivery of the Area Office by managing all operational aspects of running the area in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Work closely with the Divisional Managing Director with reference to the Land Strategy, ensure that budgets are agreed and are achievable on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
