My client are a prestigious government organisation based in Cardiff. They're seeking a Junior Economist on a full time, six month contract basis, with the possibility of extension.

The role is paying between £14.50 - £19.50 per hour, depending on experience / educational background.

Relevant Qualifications Skills and Experience:
A first or upper second-class honours degree in economics (at least 50% of the course modules must be in economics); or

  • a postgraduate degree in economics. If your first degree is not in economics or is a second class honours, your Masters will need to be in straight economics.
  • You must have studied both macro and microeconomics.
  • You must provide details of all modules completed, together with grades and credits across all years in university.

Competencies and Desired Skills:

  • Working on own initiative
  • Organising and prioritising time
  • Data Analysis
  • Some roles will require experience of using STATA for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience using R (desirable)
