THE ROLE

Working within the Inbound warehouse, 39 hours per week, required to work over 5 out of 7 days

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Lifting pallet stock into high level racking

Work with and break down stock and using safe lifting practices

Work in an environment that promotes good health and safety standards.

Liaise with Stock control to provide high replenishment standards.

Move stock onto Pick and Drop's and through the Distribution Centre

Use a variety of Manual Handling Vehicles

Use Scanning equipment to record stock movement and placement

Remove empty pallets and ensuring work area is to the required standard.

THE PERSON

Will work with detail and accuracy whilst performing under pressure.

Be able to work to given timescales and standard

Maintain health and safety levels when using Fork lift trucks and other heavy plant.

Job Description

Main duties:

Job Purpose:

The role sits within the Legal and Compliance team which is part of the Finance department. On completion of the project, the Records Administrator will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of all aspects of The Royal Mint's records management system. Your responsibilities:

  • Support the work of the Compliance Officer in reviewing and developing The Royal Mint's records management system, taking into consideration guidance from The National Archives (TNA) as part of good practice for information management under the Code of Practice.
  • Day to day management of the records management system, including training individuals on the importance of records management and adherence to the Public Records Act and associated statutory and regulatory obligations.

  • Prepare files for transfer to TNA and The Royal Mint Museum including by ensuring the access status under Freedom of Information has been determined, cleaning them in the appropriate manner, packing, labelling them in accordance with the standards set by TNA.
  • Arrange transfer of selected records to the TNA and The Royal Mint Museum, and the secure destruction of records not selected for permanent preservation, in accordance with our Data Retention Policy and obligations.
  • Perform such other duties as may from time to time be directed by the Compliance Officer.

Candidate requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of defining and implementing a compliant Public Records Act framework and of embedding a culture of good records management is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with record management systems, the provisions of the Public Records Act and related legislation is essential.
  • Previous experience of the application of meta data, record transfer to TNA, and use of DROID is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills is desirable.
  • Must demonstrate a sensitivity to historic records when forming judgements on their archival value.
  • Enthusiastic and a self-motivator able to work well independently and able to champion a good information management culture across the organisation.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, internal stakeholders and external contacts both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office package including SharePoint is essential.

PMP Recruitment is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst within the automotive sector for a client based in Ebbw vale.

Candidates will have previous experience within supply chain and logistics and be able to follow written and verbal instructions clearly. Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace is essential.

Salary - £13.50 per hour, £500+ per week

Shifts: 8:15-16:30 Monday - Thursday and 8:15-14:30 Friday - 38 hours per week

Job Purpose Statement

  • Ensure that all customer requirements are met in a timely manner at the lowest possible cost to the business.
  • Ensure all customer demands are met with zero sales backlog.
  • Ensure internal targets are achieved for inventory control (>12 stock turn per annum) and freight costs.
  • Procurement and scheduling activities to cover material availability to meet customer demand.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Customer order processing and Idoc resolution.
  2. Effective and timely responses to all customer enquiries and ensure that deliveries can be achieved within the customer nominated lead-times, or an alternative plan agreed.
  3. Ensure materials are available to meet the customer requirements whilst maintaining internal idle time less than budgeted levels.
  4. Ensure supplier lead-times and MOQs are met so as to achieve customer demand and minimise inventory.
  5. Plan and control transport so as to ensure lowest possible freight cost whilst ensuring customer demand is met, there are no special transport costs and all fair and reasonable costs are recharged to the customer before the transport is confirmed.
  6. Interface with colleagues in support departments, e.g. Quality, Central Purchasing, to improve total supply chain performance.
  7. Assist in the transfer planning of business from other plants, ensuring all relevant SAP and contact data is transferred and that manufacturing and inventory is transferred with no disruption to the customer.
  8. Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects.
  9. Assist in the planning and introduction of new projects.
  10. Ensure accuracy and maintain MRP and BOM data within SAP. This may involve liaison with other departments who have the administration rights to change the data within SAP.

Experience

  • 1 - 5 years experience in production planning or a procurement function.
  • Preferably automotive experience.
  • Experience of low volume batch manufacturing.
  • Experience in the building and maintenance of customer relationships.



Qualifications

  • Degree/HND in Logistics/Supply Chain/Manufacturing or Business Administration qualification.
  • Individual with considerable experience in a related discipline may also be considered.

Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of SAP/R3 modules.
  • European language skills (especially German) would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, e.g. Kanban, lean production would be an advantage.
  • Problem solving techniques and root cause identification.
  • Windows based PC skills.
