Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Manchester are working exclusively with a two-form entry Altrincham-based primary school in recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants for all age groups. It is a full-time role with an immediate start, then following an initial period working on a temporary basis, this role could become permanent, and you may be offered a school contract.

This Level 2 Teaching Assistant would be required to aid pupils in mainly KS1 but also be flexible to work up to KS2. This will include 121 support to enhance their learning development. Tradewind are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors who are looking to utilise their skills within a secondary school setting.

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in our schools based in St. Helens starting in September 2022. Roles available will include day to day supply, short-term assignments, and long-term bookings. Pay for a Cover Supervisor is between £70 and £75

The role: The role of a Cover Supervisor is to provide short-term cover in the absence of the regular teacher, providing whole class support. You will be required to oversee the completion of set work left by the subject teacher and manage behaviour of students. When not required on cover, you may be asked to assist as a Learning Support Assistant.

What is required to be considered for this position as a Cover Supervisor?
There are no specific qualifications to be considered for the position of Cover Supervisor however as a minimum Tradewind expect that you have experience working with secondary aged children, this can be either paid or voluntary experience and references will be required. Successful Cover Supervisors come from all backgrounds including but not limited to: Youth Work, Counselling, Military and public services.

You must also have:
* The legal right to work in the UK * A full and complete 10 year CV history (all gaps accounted for)
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure (cost of £46.50 which is refundable after you have worked 20 days) * A minimum of 2 references, including your most recent employment reference
